AT-2040 Vibration Sensor Test Set
Follow these simple steps and you will have your accelerometers calibrated in no time.
1) Using the provided short hand accelerometer wrench, secure the reference accelerometer from movement. The shaker and reference accelerometer are connected by four carbon fiber flexures. Use the wrench to ensure that torque is not applied to these parts when tightening down your test accelerometer.
2) Connect your cable from the accelerometer under test. If using the AT-2030 you will need to connect to an external source such as a multimeter or vibration monitor control meter. If using AT-2040, simply plug the test accelerometer to the BNC connector labeled “Sensor Input”
3) Set the AT-2030 or AT-2040 portable vibration to the correct frequency and amplitude and begin your measurements. Using the manufacturer datasheet as a guide, set the correct frequency and amplitude and take your first reading. After that is complete, move on to your second, and so on. If using the AT-2040 and your sensor is preset, the “Auto” button will perform an automatic sweep of all needed points for you and store the data. Alternatively, with the AT-2040 you can also go through the accelerometer manually and save data to the unit to create a calibration certificate.
4) Create your certificate. If using the AT-2030 you will need to input your data into excel and print your certificate manually. If using the AT-2040, simply download your automatically created certificate to USB in PDF format.
